I think this is the most intriguing fight of the year. GSP is coming off knee surgery and as I'm sure a lot of you have seen in the past, fighters who typically come off knee surgery tend to have more difficulties in their first fight back. Not to mention you have such a dangerous guy like Condit who can strike with GSP on the feet and isn't afraid to be taken down. You also can't forget Greg Jackson in this equation, isn't he training Carlos? Greg knows the ins and out of GSP surely.
On paper if you add everything up this looks like the toughest fight GSP has had in a long time. What are your thoughts on it? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaZzxZWpCiI[/ame] |

It all depends on how physically recovered, how psychologically confident in his knee and how rusty GSP is.
But Condit is a BAD guy to come back against. Well-rounded, intelligent fighter who is tough as hell, has great mental composure, and knows how to work a fight plan. I have GSP as the underdog in this one. But I'm not going to pick Condit, because there are too many unknowns. Still, I'd be more confident of a GSP victory if he was returning against Diaz the moron rather than Condit. ![]()

This is one of these fights where I'll clear my mind of expectations, and just sit back and enjoy watching to see what happens.
And I agree it's probably the toughest fight GSP has had since Hughes 1.

Its a tough first fight back for GSP his timing and conditioning should not be as good as in his other fights. I am starting to get pretty hyped for this fight now.

Depends on GSP. He's in another league than Condit. Whether he beats him badly or really badly depends on how his knee is.

My opinion is that GSP and his handlers wouldn't let him fight if he wasn't 100%. Since his early days, he has manhandled every single one of his opponents with his wrestling. This will be no different. I predict a 3rd round submission for GSP, after jabbing and setting up takedowns in rounds 1,2 and early 3.

Smart moeny is on GSP putting on another clinic and exploiting Carlos' lack of TDD. But Carlos is a tough old bastard and I have a feeling he'll kod Georges in the later rounds...but that's just me
