Mundine was very good rugby league player and unfortunate to play in an era with a surfeit of great five eighths. Style wise he was reminiscent of the great Phil Blake.

Phil Blake never quite lived up to his potential imo. In his early years playing for Manly he seemed incredible.

If this is true we should all be suing Nasser for destroying Aussie boxing. In Mundine we could have had a ATG and a true revelation to the sport. He was in his stride in 06 and unfortunately went to shit afterwards, by poor management they fucked Australia out of a good Champion. If this interview were true and sounds like it may very well be.

Hard luck. If Choc wins I hope he does go for titles and fights GGG, Macklin, Martinez and Cotto. Good chances with all, if he doesn't get tagged.
