Add Sands with Les Darcy to what seems to be a growing list of great Australian boxers who died too young.
I almost mentioned Darcy in this post, but he does seem to get the occasional mention on here and seems to be highly thought of in those....But maybe they just stand out in my memory that gets a little bit faultier as each year goes by.

I look forward to researching this man more.

With 10 of his 15 losses coming by way of T(KO) -- was this evidence of a bad chin, or simply an anomaly?

Larkin had a Dresden {glass] chin, pure and simply...If Larkin had Billy Graham's chin he would be in the top 10 lightweights of alltime...

WTF?!? He's seen by most as one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Preposterous pick. Seen as pretty much unbeatable at his very best.

So you like him better at lightweight, correct? He seemed to have only gotten ranked at welterweight. Go figure.

Darcy is actually overrated IMO. Anyone who remembers that thread will agree with me.

He's no.21 in mine. No joke.

Anyway, at that level you can't get butt hurt because you're splitting hairs when you're ranking that level of legend over one another.

What's your top 20? Why isn't Luis Manuel Rodriguez, Tony Canzoneri or Terry McGovern in it?
