The less you think of Pavlik, the less you value Sergio's best or second best ever win.
He won five rounds, and yes people insult Sergio when they badmouth Pavlik. In a recent interview, Sergio said KP was his most difficult opponent to date.

Pavlik was a good champion during his focused and prime days. Find me one poster who said otherwise? People are saying he's no longer what he was and he is heading towards semi-shot. But rarely have anybody said he was 'shit' during his Prime.

Pavlik was a very dangerous and big MW during his prime days and packs power/very good chin.

I still won't count Pavlik out, Ward fight is not a good fight but hopefully he can turn his career around.

Pavlik definitely lost to the better fighers like I said. That version of B-Hop and Sergio are superior to Abraham/Froch

I will take a Prime Pavlik over every MW right now outside of Martinez. Easily too.
I think Prime Pavlik will beat Gennady,Quillen,Njam,Pirog,Jr, and a high chance of KO in all of them.

That was a sub par Pavlik that had spent time in rehab during training camp also. And thats taking nothing away from Sergio he is a great fighter. It just shows how good Pavlik is when firing on all cylinders. And I for one hope he pulls it all together one more time for a fight with Ward.

I think Pavlik's biggest problem against Martinez was he outgrew the weight. To his credit he refused to lose his titles on the scale, unlike so many others we've seen of late.

I think he lost one to Hopkins and lost to Winky. When you add AA and Froch pretty clear JT fought better fighters.

Boxing fans have short memories. Ya, I mean me too! I went back and reviewed some of that action. KP and JT gave us 19 rounds of phenomonal entertainment!

Just re-watched Taylor/Pavlik I.

Woo! Great stuff... I really do think prime Pavlik, from that fight, is quite underrated. Not saying he beats many or any ATG MW's, but I think that Pavlik would beat a good amount of respected MW's throughout history.

Yeah that was a big problem also, but I think having to go to rehab 2 weeks before the fight shows a real bad training camp. It shows to me that it was effecting his training otherwise why would he take the time off training to go to rehab?

Martinez is great, but if Pavlik was not weight drained and was not drinking during training camp to the point where he had to go to rehab it makes a huge difference.

I know Jack Loew said in an interview that after the 1st taylor fight training camps were a total joke and they covered a lot of things up. Jack Loew even though he was pissed off at Kelly in this interview paid him a pretty big compliment. He said I thought I had the guy who was going to beat everyone and be the best ever. The positive to me is that if Pavlik does pull it all together I think he can still be the best in the world at whatever weight he fights at.

He ktfo a guy who gave a couple atgs all they could handle and at a total shell of himself he was beating a top p4p fighter till the end of the fight. To me that shows at his best he is a great great fighter. Unfortunatly we have not seen him at full throttle in some years.

I think that Kelly's resume is equal, because he beat Taylor twice when Jermaine was undefeated and had the impressive resume that you guys are talking about. That has to even Kelly up, imo.

I remember scoring it really close and I don't remember for whom. I think most people had it close for Taylor. HBO turned in a garbage scorecard for that.

Taylor. Pavlik's resume is awful, beating Taylor (who is not that great, but at least seemed to have B-Hops number) was his highpoint, after that there is not much left.
