Default Comparison: Is Garcia's left hook as potent as Cotto (140)?

It seems like that punch is slowly becoming so special, there was even a separate thread about it.

And the responses were surprising that people actually believe getting tagged with it will actually drop fighters, even the best ones from one division above.

IMO, it's getting overrated a bit. just because it stopped Morales and Khan.

Anyways, I remember Cotto at 140, getting compared to Tito because of his own silky smooth but devastatingly powerful left hook that bruises you up badly or punctures the liver.

Does Garcia have a better one, or it's beneath what Cotto used to back then?

That's why I started asking the question.

Look at the other thread made about that punch.

People said it will drop Pacquiao and Mayweather, among others when hit perfectly.

Cotto left hook at 140 was a face/body wrecker for real, Garcia left hook counter is a good powerful punch but not in the same league as Cotto's.

i think it being a counter makes it more suprising and a devestating effect.

he didn't catch khan right on the jaw,

but then he perfected it for moralas.

id fear for my health against Danny, dont go near him khan, duck him like you ducked Brediss.

They use it different. Cotto uses it in a combo a lot, after setting up his opponent. Garcia measures his left hook. He baits his opponents to retailate and interrupts their punch with a ripping counter shot that he put a lot of power to. Cotto's left hook breaks you down. Garcia is meant to knock his opponents out. Trying to go for a homerun in a more contained way.
