I wish the Arce fight happens, 1 less fighter to be included in Nonito's list of possible fights. If he doesn't fight Arce in December, it's still a possibility it happens in 2013.

Donaire will fight the winner of Mares vs Moreno.

Sure, they'll be on the undercard of the main event; Arum vs DLH

I'm not crazy about this fight because Donaire is probably going to roll over Arce. But if it was only two months after Donaire's last fight and his fourth fight for the year than I didn't mind it in that context.

Instead we'll get Donaire fighting 2 or 3 times max next year and he's going to use one up on a pretty faded Arce. So as a "bonus" fourth fight this year (something few top fighters do) this fight was fine but when he's only fighting 2-3 times a year he doesn't need one-sided options.

So, Donaire against Rigondeaux is most likely to happen I believe..

Yeah, it was basically a cash out fight if it happened in December. Now it is likely to turn into a "after he fights Arce" situation next year, though. That is the only loss here.

Donaire tweeted right after the Nishioka fight that he's definitely taking the rest of the year off due to his hand injury.

Arce knows the fans won't be mad at him since they want to see Donaire fight Rigo or Mares anyway. Good move.

Now let's see whom Donaire fights next. I hope he's forced into fighting the winner of Mares-Moreno or Rigo. He has to right? I mean Donaire would look like a fool if he were to fight a bum. Then again I won't be surprised to hear delusional, obsessed fans come to his defense by saying something like, "ND deserves an easy fight. Arum knows what's best for ND and we trust his judgment."
Is it too hard to comprehend that Mares vs Donaire is not happening because of TR/GBP?

As soon as I heard the rumour about Donaire/Arce I started having flash backs to the night Vic left Arce tore up from the floor up! Donaire might kill him. This fight was a really bad idea from jump street. Glad it's off.

Edit - article is incomplete. Negotiations still underway. Therefore, ignore the article where you got this bogus news tip.
I hope he declines if it's going to be in Mexico.

I'm laughing at the people who seem legitimately upset that this horrid mismatch isn't happening.

I don't see why Mexico City is a big deal. It's not like this fight would see seven rounds.
