Of course he had an amazing chin as well there's just too many to name.Just mentioned the ones that came to mind the quickest or most memorable.How can I forget about Lamotta I think someone mentioned him earlier.He took Robinson best punches.Anybody else come to mind?

Gavilan wasn't stopped in 143 career fights. They both took Robinson's best punches, though Jake was finally stopped in their sixth fight. He was struggling to make weight at the time, but I feel it has more to do with Robinson being less outsized (in terms of weight) than any of their previous fights. I actually think he had more power - if nothing else - fighting as a legitimate middleweight contender/champion.

Can't believe nobodies mentioned Tony Galento he may have one of the greatest ever if not the greatest, decked only once in over 100 proffesional fights by none other than Joe Louis, never decked in sparring or as an amatuer where he was middle, light heavy and heavyweight champ for NJ. Take away his bout with Louis and he would've never been decked or stopped in what would be a career of probably 200 something fights.

He was one of the first mentioned on mine, though they weren't really in a set order.

The number of excellent chins to be found from the 1940-50s 147-160 scene is pretty amazing, although not all of them exactly on the same tier.
