honestly though i have seen 2 vasquez fights before and thought he followed the humberto soto school of thought. "box when you want even if it dont look pretty just get the job done"
but vasquez looks wack. high arms and a snappy jab followed by pretty weak punches. he looks like a far smaller tyson fury at times. |

Round 5
Quintero is walking forward and bowling in left hands to the body past his right jab. Vazquez is kicking his feet out behind himself and throwing some uppercuts and looping counters from the hip. Pretty even action as Quintero chases, landing but getting hit in the process. 10-9 Vazquez 48-47 Vazquez |

I don't think anyone ruins Vasquez. Broner, Rios, Burns...none of those guys. Any win over this guy is going to be ugly. Sort of like Abril, we wins ugly and dudes have to work for it to beat him.

Very true. I can see Broner catching him with a left hook and putting him down with the way Vasquez keeps his hands down. De Marco would press him until he had him flat out running.

Round 6
Quintero is flicking out his right jab and trying to force Vazquez into a corner. Vazquez is rotating in semi-ellipses around Quintero and throwing longbow right hands, grabbing Quintero by the back of the head and pushing down after either missing or glancing. Vazquez falls in with an underhanded right to the body while collapsing against Quintero but pushing away before it can develop into a clinch. Quintero is plodding after the champion and getting plugged with those rights to the body as Vazquez applies the brakes and willingly incites collisions. 10-9 Vazquez 58-56 Vazquez |
