Default Tyson would have beaten George Foreman and heres why!

Foreman had an average chin.

So does george hit harder than Tyson? Yes!

But does George have slow hands and Tyson have incredible head movment? Yes!

Does Tyson hit hard enough to KO georges Chin? Yes! Did Tyson fire off those lighting fast power punches in bunches while staying safe from counters esecially slow counters? Yes!

I would go as far as to say that if George and Tyson fought the way old school bare knuckle boxers fought ie both staying on a marked line and banging each other till one fell (up to scratch) then Tyson would win due to a better chin enough power to KO george in one shot and throwing many of those shots per second while slipping the slow counters.

(Both in their prime btw)

Its greatly overatted he got rocked many times many near misses and Ali KOed him, Ali has no real power, the reason why he got by without being KOed much was because he KOed them before they could KO him.

Tyson had a better Chin, and I will correct my statement George forman had a better than average chin, but not great. Not as Good as Tysons.

Cue Klozoff to show up out of nowhere, alerted by his Tyson/Foreman bollocks tingle.

Tyson was a better fighter than Foreman or at least he ranks higher than George, who was overrated in his second comeback, but Tyson would have had a terrible time against the style of George. George was stronger and bigger and Tyson's style of moving forward would have walked into George's uppercuts and hooks. Either way this fight would last only a two or three rounds. Mike would have to knock him out early because George would eventually catch him. Push him off and then punch.

Tyson weighed as much as Foreman did. Tyson actually had more body mass than George.

When Foreman was actually draining himself in the earlier days, Tyson was still at least below 220 during his best years.

I love this simplistic, completely linear and moronic analysis.

George hit harder than Tyson.

Really? The two threw punches completely different with differing effects. George was a bludgeoning, slower, long contact time sort of puncher. Guys went down and got up and went down. His punches were looped, strong and heavy. Tyson was a speed, combo concussive puncher. Guys went down as though shot out of the blue. The speed of delivery and the follow-ups did the damage. Conversely, each guys achilles heel was different. A guy who could move and frustrate Foreman had a chance, while a guy who could keep Tyson on the end of his rope and then cut the distance quickly when needed had a chance.

It's not a video game where fighters get power rankings 1-10 and it's over. Different types of power with different effectiveness against different types of opponents.

Tyson is quick and he would have some good moments thru the first 3-5 rounds. I think Foreman ends it in 4-6 rounds though.

Foreman has some advantages, his height and power jab against a guy coming into him. George had uncommon strength and he could push Tyson off with some success.

At the same time Mike Tyson was quicker and more explosive than Joe Frazier. He used his righthand more and was more of a two handed threat.

I used to be in the Foreman destroys him camp but honestly I think this fight is a tossup. It would probably be a series of fights.

Whoever was on that day would win.

I cant say that I disagree. A Tyson win is definately a possibility.
