FW is currently searching for a new opponent for Nathan Cleverly after Ryan Coyne has been forced to withdraw due to legal issues. The WBO have ordered that Cleverly face a fighter ranked in the top 15 in order for them to sanction the fight.
It may be very difficult for FW to find a ranked opponent on such short notice because the fight is still scheduled for November 10th. Am I the only one who has a sneaky suspicion that FW may give Tony Bellew a call? He's currently in training to fight on the Froch undercard and he's ranked in the WBO top 15. What do you think? Is it likely or will Cleverly end up facing someone else? If Bellew were offered the fight do you think he would or should take it? |

Not a chance Bellew and Matchroom are going the WBC route I think with Bellew plus Bellew v Cleverley will make more money over here than on a undercard in the US. Ideally ***** needs an american opponent or an opponent well known in america. Ideally someone like Pavlik would fill the void but its whether the WBO sanction the fight.

I think FW would rather put his own mum in with Cleverly!
The whole legal dispute between them clearly bothers FW massively, in just about every interview with him I've seen recently he gets some sort of dig in. Its also not over yet from what I read. I'd really like the rematch, almost guaranteed to be a barn-burner, but I just can't see it happening unfortunately. |

It won't happen because of the TV issue. Frank won't let Cleverly fight on Sky and Bellew won't want to fight on a BoxNation show, even if Hearn allowed it. I don't think either camp wants to work together anyway, even if it means losing out on a big payday. I would like to see a rematch at some point though and I think Bellew wins it clearly this time. He's improved as a fighter but the soft touches have made Cleverly regress. Bellew in an 8-4 type decision or possibly even a late stoppage.

Why don't they go back in for Braemher now?
He's #2 and why aren't the WBO forcing a mandatory by now?Surely there's a time limit. |

At the WBO convention this fight told Dean Powell he was ready to step in and fight November 10th. |

Why has he never had to face a mandatory?
I thought all governing bodies insisted on a mandatory after a certain length of time. |

and it wont be bellew because he's with matchroom and this would probably be a title fight not an eliminator or intercontinental belt so no interest from fast eddie |
