Wow look at the size difference. Isn't Ayala coming up in weight. Kinda reminds me of mayweather Marquez mismatch

But not the same sudden jump in weight classes, Ayala moved from 122 to 126.

The size difference wasn`t as much as that, Ayala came up from the weight below (122), Erik has always been tall in his best weight classes (122 & 126) but quite thin, he obviously had the power advantage vs Ayala but just like fmj-JMM it wasn`t the size the was the main factor for winning the fight, it was the greater technical skills of Morales (& fmj) that was too much for Ayala (& JMM)

Yes, this fight vs Ayala & the 2nd Barrera fight (taking quality of opposition on board) were his best performances at FW IMO.... he was pretty good vs Kevin Kelly too but Kelly was at the end of his prime, Ayala & Barrera were in their primes, particularly Barrera.

Ayala looks like he'll just do fine and lose a decision.

Then suddenly Morales started uncorking the uppercuts and it got ugly.

Morales really beat the hell out of Ayala. Jesus Chavez was another great showing. Just a class above. Same with Barrera over Tapia in their fight (RIP) though it seemed Barrera pulled back a bit against Tapia.

Morales over Junior Jones was IMO his best W aside from Barrera and Pac obviously.
