I presented a small case for it without going into much detail in turbo's Turpin/SRR thread but you never replied. I figured you either didn't see it, agreed with it or disagreed and just didn't feel like a retort. Unfortunately Flea, I've seen many say it.. And I imagine it's part of the whole 'Robinson was better in virtually every form and facet at 147' stigma that plagues a lot of posts and mentalities around here. I've had to push it into the discussion with the cobra and PM JMP about it just to get any type of agreement.

Knocking out LaMotta, Turpin, Graziano, Olson (x2) is good enough for me.

And the left hook that desolated Fullmer speaks for itself.

Belloise, Villemain, Basora, Rindone as well. All notable contenders who spent a good, respectable amount of time in the top ten of the division. In fact, Belloise topped out at #1, Villemain and Basora #2.

Olson x3 -- KO12, UD15, KO2, KO4 <-- Their series.

Yeah, you're right about Olson. BRAIN FART

Robinson never knocked him out -- but Rocky Castellani was number 1 in '53, as well.

So yeah, Wilson fought:

Ike Ibeabuchi
Corey Sanders
Oliver McCall
Sam Peter
Tony Thompson
Robert Davis
Hasim Rahman
Larry Donald
Oleg Maskaev
Derrick Jefferson
David Izon
Greg Page
Jeremy Williams
Vaughan Bean
Ray Mercer
Kirk Johnson
Andrew Golota
Tyrell Biggs
Frans Botha

Considering Wilson was pretty shit, this is ****ing insane.

While we are on the subject of who has the best chin I noticed a funny thing about the absolute top notch granite chin fighters...almost all of them still sound very "together" and none show any signs of being punchy...particularly Hagler and Chuvalo...

The true test of Haglers chin was when he took Hearns best shots in the 1st round..and then just adjusted and started shrugging them off..HARD...AS...NAILS

Holyfield of course had an epic beard.Probably too epic for his own good judging on where his head's at now.

Probably even stronger where recuperative powers and heart are concerned, though I tend to associate recovery with chin. Some others don't for their own reasons. A hellacious line-up he faced in Lewis x2, Bowe x3, Tyson x2, Foreman, Cooper though.

Funny part of this contri is that you didn't even mention probably the harder puncher at 160 than the 3 you mentioned in "Cyclone" Hart, plus another big banger in Bennie Briscoe.
