The fight reminds me of Aydin Gurrero a bit .Only Gurrero win it but then again shows you what good skill can do .Gurero just didn't look like a legit WW that's why and being a southpaw same as Bute .

Because it's clear to see Carl Froch is good fighter, calling him decent is beyond stupid.

Did Ward expose Froch? Nope, we all knew Froch struggles against guys who are crafty and who also have a good inside game..before the Ward fight, also Ward is an exceptional fighter and arguably the most skilled operator in boxing today.

I'd like you to tell me how Mikkel Kessler schooled Froch...please break it down.

I stopped reading when the OP used the word ''Taylor'' followed by ''11 rounds''.

That's simply not true.

It's not as if Froch was hammered for 11 rounds, then landed a nothing jab and the Gods granted him the victory.

From round 8 Froch was in control, the fact that Taylor had to expend too much to bank those early rounds is his own problem. Froch had 12 rounds to stop him and did it, fair and square.

In your opinion he is a good fighter, in my opinion he is above average, in other words, he's decent.

I really don't know why everyone gets so wound up, you don't see me throwing hissy fits whenever somebody else says how great Carl Froch is.....yet when someone comes here and offers an alternative opinion, the same bunch of suckers come on to throw abuse at you. I hereby announce my semi.......retirement from the board. I have taken it upon myself to have a small break from the board. I think its best, until everybody cools down a bit. The abuse is just to much at the moment. I've tried my best to bring some clarity to the board, in my campaign "Cleaning up the Board"......it's been a catastrophic failure.

I will have a break from posting, until some of you calm down. Maybe I will be back after the Witter-Gavin fight, to revel in my correct prediction.

I have the up most respect for some people on here, who have a wealth of knowledge and insight, but others are just complete tosspotts from planet zog.

we will miss you. the highlight of your esb career is this thread where you clearly explained why Froch is only above average and highlighted how Taylor won the first 11 rounds of their fight and Kessler schooled him.

You obviously have never boxed in your life or you would understand exactly why Carl Froch is a great fighter, your right in saying hes not very skilled. But thats just one of the factors to take into account.

Froch has a A class chin, A+ Stamina, B+ power, A+ heart, A strenght, and A++ will to win, he has things that you cannot teach a skilled fighter. As a boxer Froch is the exact kind of a fighter that you dont want to fight because you know hes going to be in there untill the end giving it everything he has.

Hes not the most gifter boxer but the rest of his qualitys more than make up for than, he is a great fighter.
