Pacquiao vs Mayweather Timeline.


December 2009
:
Pacquiao and Mayweather agree to fight on March 13, 2010.


Later in December 2009:

Pacquiao requests changes to Mayweather’s stipulations for fight that require Olympic-style blood and urine testing up until the day of the fight. Pacquiao and trainer Freddie Roach claimed that taking blood until the day of the fight would weaken Pacquiao and would have an impact on the fight, and offered a compromise of Olympic-style testing up until a week before the fight.


January 2010
:
Pacquiao and Mayweather go to court over the fight. Mayweather agrees to 14-day testing, but in the talks Pacquiao demands a 24-day window following the testing. Bob Arum announces that the fight has been called off. Mayweather signs up for a fight with Shane Mosley, Pacquiao agrees to fight Joshua Clottey.


June 2010
:
Oscar De La Hoya starts the conversation again, claiming that his negotiations as the president of Golden Boy Promotions have brought the situation much closer to being a done deal.


June 30, 2010
:
Pacquiao signs a deal to fight Mayweather on November 13, 2010, agreeing to all of Mayweather’s blood and urine testing requirements. Hype machine reaches new highs, with Top Rank launching a website that shows just a countdown clock to when Mayweather will sign the agreement. It looks like a done deal.


July 15, 2010
:
Mayweather given a deadline to sign contract, which is the last step needed to schedule the fight.


July 17, 2010
:
Mayweather goes silent, misses deadline, Arum declares November 13th fight is off.


July 19, 2010
:
Ellerbe steps up, claims that a deal had never actually been reached, and contradicts everything Pacuiao’s representatives said in June.


July 19, 2010
:
Everyone is confused.


After that
:
Everything gets ridiculous.


September 2010
:
Mayweather records video dissing Pacquiao.


Later that month
:
Pacquiao responds with a song about Mayweather in Filipino. Mayweather definitely doesn’t know what he said.


July 2011
:
Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz claims that a deal had never been agreed on.


November 2, 2011
:
Mayweather camp claims they are trying to schedule “biggest fight ever for May 5, 2012.


November 3, 2011
:
Arum denies it quickly.
