Default RIP Manny and Carmen!

Doing press work at Staples Center for the Mares-Moreno card tonight and they just did an honorary ten count for the legendary Emmanuel Steward and Carmen Basilio.

No ****, but as I stood ringside during the ten count it was hard to hold back tears. These were just two great human beings that did so much not only for boxing, but their communities.

Just wanted to give one more shout out to these boxing greats and say rest in peace brothers. You will be very missed.

Haven't been following boxing recently but the Manny Steward passing came out of the blue didn't it? RIP to the great man.

Yes he had colon cancer that kind of came out of nowhere, seems they caught it late.

Indeed RIP to both.

Still find it strange Manny is no longer with us.

Shame a thread like this barely gets a conversation going, but if you start a thread about Mayweather and Pacquiao taking a **** everybody is all over it....

Not going to lie, I've had some beers, and I reckon if I saw Manny's smile I'd tear up a bit.

(Incredibly ****).

I admit I never got the opportunity to see Basilio fight live, But from the videos I have seen he is a true warrior.

Steward truly brought a tear to my eye when I heard about his death, Such a good man, trained so many great fighters. RIP to both.

Seems it clogged the toilet a bit. So the local press managed to discover it had small bits of carrots and corn in it for Pacquiao and chicken for Mayweather. What an astonishing story...

One of the greatest boxers of all time and one of boxing's good guys and best trainers died.

That is ESB
