Default Terry Carruthrs Post fight interview 'I'm not a journeyman' *class act*

[ame]***********.youtube.com/watch?v=e6KifrQ3Lts[/ame]

Quality showing last night by Carruthers, what a heart the kid has, £16,000 by far his biggest payday, hopefully he can be matched better from now on, decent fighter.

Not a fan of PF but last night was good viewing IMO, as long as you keep the big names out of PF it's normally entertaining.

he is a good fighter, and his high workrate style was great for prizefighter, he gave Eamonn Okane a tough battle after his win over Anwar and brawl with Eubank jr.

Also he took the O'Kane fight at 2 days notice! Imagine if the lad gets a full training camp.

Says it in the interview pal, think the loser of the semi gets 8k and loser of quarters gets 4k.

Watched him fight Qato a year back and he was very impressive. He's not a guy who comes to lose and he's now got some backing from fans and also CNP doing his bits and bobs he can progress and win some titles IMO.

Would be great to see him get a shot at Ochieng on the December 8th card for the english title.

Saying that Ochieng is a more polished version of Akundayo IMO and at 4 weeks notice it's a tough ask.

Must say I like the guy. Always great to watch.

He certainly not a journeyman.

I was very impressed with him last night. What he lacks in skills, he makes up for with heart and determination.

That would be a nice fight and Ochieng would win as you say slightly more polished of the two.

Sadly can't happen as Terry was stopped so 6 weeks out for him.

This could actually be better for Terry, have a nice break with his family because he's had some very tough fights in recent months, then Ochieng will be looking to move on from English title level soon and Terry may fight for the vacant belt.

Yep i agree, think it's about timing and Ochieng is one of the best English title holders around. Start 2013 chasing titles and who knows he may win a masters, area and maybe English title.

Definitely, Ochieng is at the upper end of English titleholders outside of future world class operators on their way through the traditional route.

Comes across as a great bloke and has gained some more fans tonight. Unfortuneately is one of the many boxers who get thrown onto the scrap heap because they aren't big draws. Good, solid fighters who give prospects tough fights on next to no preparation but without a good promoter/manager end up with less than stellar records. Much like that welsh lad who fought not so long back who was getting a lot of love on here (Tony Pace?).
