David Haye's reign as WBA Heavyweight champ has got to rank up there.

Won it a boring, freak-show of a fight against Valuev (remember him?). Defended it against John Ruiz who was WAY past it and then against Fraudley in a farce.

Then he lost it against Wladimir in an abysmal showing.

Terrible reign.

Tend to agree but wasn't Ruiz his mandatory, so he was unable to avoid him?

As for the Audley defence ... well

Ricky Burns 130 title defences were against a 14 fight novice, a bloke with a 14-4 record and a past it, injured Nicky Cook who shouldn't have even passed his medical. Absolute joke.

The first 8 years of Calzaghe's reign was about as pathetic as it gets.

Nathan Cleverly is clearly gunning for this prestigious award though.

To add my two pence, if we include WBO, Eamonn Loughran...

Seems the second Haye got famous outside boxing, it all went wrong.

his showing against wladamir wasn't as bad as everyone likes to make out....on the other hand, his showing against valuev was, despite the valeuv wobble that kept being shown on tv for a year afterwards, it was the only time he got at him in the fight

Trying to stick to relatively highly regarded fighters and not go for easy pickings i'd agree with Haye.

Hatton and the 2nd half of Eubank's reign were hardly covered in glory either.imo hatton vs Pac is the most embarassing and inept performance ever by a well regarded British fighter in a world title fight.

he was well beaten...hammered and nearly killed by the ko.....but he was trying...embarressing and inept should describe the likes of audleys showing against haye...not this

Some of the early wbo reigns are probably the worst. Imagine if we included WBU, lol.
