Tough call. I think in their primes 4 out of 5 times Holmes would win.

Holmes is not really a punching threat, while Lewis would find a home for the right hand...I think Lewis can drop Larry and take him out...Holmes has a great jab and some good tools behind it but Lewis carries the guns and would find Larry's chin with a better follow up than Shavers or Snipes,Weaver, something in the way of the Tyson KO but a little less rushed possibly....the longer Holmes lasts the better chance he has but IMO Lewis takes him out

Lewis by KO

Lennox by stoppage. He has the size and jab to get in it (as Carl Williams did) and the power to hurt Larry (like many did) and I reckon he'll finish Larry off.

I would not be surprised if Holmes' quicker jab and feet saw him through to a close decision win.

despite not being a puncher, I think Holmes ability to put punches together in varied combos could do well for him

I reckon Lewis would have to be pretty aggressive to beat Holmes

Holmes wins a boxing match, Lewis wins a fight

As someone who actively followed boxing when Holmes was champ, do you think he would've given Lewis a titleshot, if Lewis scored a KO like he did against Ruddock, in, say, 1982 instead of 1992?

Lewis win! Holmes would have to outpoint Lewis to beat him and he couldn't do that. I could see Lewis-Holmes similar to Vitali-Lewis with Holmes getting the better of lewis in the first few rounds, but unlike Vitali, Holmes is easier to Hit and would wear down much faster, then Lewis would finish him.

If Holmes was a champion like he was it would be hard for Lewis to get a rating in say the WBC, I think the promotion pushes Lennox to the say WBA and tries to get him picked off ...If Lewis was a threat Holmes would avoid a unification (why would he not) he hesitated to fight Tate,Dokes,Coetzee,Thomas,Dokes and Weaver who were co-champs

With his win over Ruddock, Lewis showed an incredible win over the man who gave Tyson 2 hard fights and Holmes usually fought guys in his title defenses that were green 10 wins 2x, 13 fights once 14 fights 2x 15 fights and 16 fights or guys who were shopworn, or limited, Zanon,Evangelista,Cobb, even his toughest fights Cooney (only went as far as 8rds) and Shavers (known to lose the big ones)

There were many windows of opportunities for Holmes to unify but he never did...he let them fight each other and never had to fight the best of his era

If Holmes gave up a title not to fight Page, he would have certainly forfeited a title to avoid Lewis like Bowe did

Holmes was a talented man but promotional navigation and control of the split titles worked in his benefit ...I think an exceptional Olympic gold medal winner like Lewis would demand a showdown eventually

I can't call it. Holmes the smaller better boxer, fitter, Lennox much stronger, bigger better hitter and athletic enough to land.

Holmes UD or Lennox come from behind KO
