De Jesus record today

Feather: Salido, Juanma
Super Feather: Litzau, Uchiyama
Lightweight: Vasquez, Abril
Light Welter: Prescott, Khan
Welter: Senchenko, Paulie

About 8 titles there and one lineal maybe. Would be ranked by many in the top 100.

I'd give the JMM that fought Casamayor the best chance, he was still reflexively sharper than he was later in his lightweight career. Could see him getting dropped early and ad******g late to make it close on points.

It's crazy to think how the contenders of yesterday could dominate certain divisions today. It's how you differentiate many ATG's from the past from many modern ones (not always the case, but generally true.) Looking at the fundamental skill-set and accomplishments of 2nd-rate fighters from decades ago tells you all you need to know about the quality of their conquerors.

Man everybody overrates the old timers. Marquez all day with the aid of modern nutrition and the evolution of the sport.

Wow, I had an internal argument with myself about this long post I made about weight cutting and how fighters from today would have no chance to garner the 'achievements' modern boxing fans covet so much and a lot of them would be nobodies.

But I deleted the whole thing. Was nonsense really. Anyway, the crux of the thing was 'Julio Cesar Chavez Jr wouldn't beat George Foreman in Toronto'.
