Abraham came to Germany at 14 I think. He started boxing in Germany and is a German citizen. He can be a German boxer as much as he wants to.

Apparently Abraham was 15 when he moved to Germany. And he most definitely considers himself Armenian. Which is fair enough.

England has produced the likes of Kid Berg, Kid Lewis, Brown, Moran, Turpin, Downes, Mills, Minter, Stracey, Conteh, Benn, Eubank, Honeyghan, Hamed ... some would claim Fitzsimmons and Lennox (i'm not one of them) ... in the past decade we've produced the likes of Hatton, Haye and Froch to go with some pretty solid beltholders.

So yeah, I stick by my assertion that England has produced a greater volume of top tier fighters then any other European nation.

The thread, seems to be, about BRITAIN (not England, in particular). Hence, why I was trying to eliminate ambiguity, with regards to fighters nationalities, from the thread.

I threw in Rees, Cleverly, et al, as they were names that had popped up earlier in the thread.

If we're talking about the island of Britain, then sure.. its 3. For most intents and purposes, though, its GB (which, includes NI).

Well, the two main boxing centres in Europe are the UK and germany. so it would be one of them, as germany imports a lot of eastern euro fighters i would say the UK

And Lewis is from Canada, right?! What are you talking about? Get you sh$t together. Golovkin has Russian roots It is the same with another prominent fighter from Kazakhstan - Vassily Jirov. Both are of Russian origin.

Khan gets beaten every time he steps up. What he has done besides his gift against Kotelnik. Had he fought him outside of the UK, he would have dreamed about a belt.

Froch has a good resume yet his is not the best in his division. He hasn't dominated the way Vitaliy does. Not to mention Vitaliy's hystorical comeback after the longest lay off or never been down in so many title fights. Vitaliy has cemented his legacy on those two things alone. Froch has alot to do to reach Vitaliy's legacy.

Froch is good and I like his will to fight everywhere. He gave Ward a good run. He fights tough opponents all the time...well except Mack...

Division is stronger than ever. Competition is very good. Never in hystory of boxing competition was so good. 20-30 years ago it was basically local American competition. Nowadays it is worldwide. Worldwide...

So did Kotelnik. Anyways, Khan is not that good. His claim to fame is that he manage to survive against Maidana. There is only one khan and this is Khan Kubrat not Amir.

The best British fighters are Froch and Gaye at this point. Others just fill the picture. You have alot of fighters, good venues for boxing and devoted fans.

You think Kotelinik won the fight? Or just that biased judges outside of the UK (as opposed to biased judges from the UK) wouldn't give him the win? If you think Khan lost, then you are certifiably insane. If you think judges from elsewhere wouldn't have awarded the win then that is irrelevant, Khan won that fight without any doubt, regardless of what any imaginary foreign judges may have thought.
