It matters if it's truly a final WBC HW title eliminator. That means it ties up one of the few remaining defenses VK has planned - and could even be his last one.

Imagine that, a farewell bout against Johnson who he already shut out!

Well, that's true.

Still, if I miss this fight, I'm not gonna' lose any sleep over it.

You're liable to catch up on a few winks if you don't miss it.

KJ gasses and gets taken out when the ref stops it.

Hard to gas when you're barely active.

Well, it's what we have, and guys like Lyle and Shavers got built up and liked by public after being seen on tv a few times. Same for a lot of others. Plus, more they fight each other, better the good ones will get form the experience.

Either Lyle or Shavers could blow out Johnson and Fury on the same night.

Wilder vs. Price is likely going to be on Telefutura or something, like Wilder's other bouts. Maybe WealthTV if we're lucky.

The guy who needs to get on TV in the US is the kid who spanked Johnson recently and won Prizefighter. (Tor Hamer, the best kept secret in American boxing...not saying he's the best of 'em but he's a player and nobody talks about him...)

I think Wilder-Price is going to be on Showtime on the Khan-Molina undercard.

It appears you are correct. He'd better make it count on the big stage.

Then again, he's ranked all the way down at #32 in the WBC - Fury is #3 - but I'm now reading this could be a title eliminator to meet (or rematch) Vitali Klitschko.
I thought Mitchell-Banks and Arreola-Stiverne were both "SEMI ELIMS" for a shot at Vitali's WBC title?

I know Boystov-Fury was originally supposed to be the "SEMI ELIM" over Mitchell-Banks, but since Boystov pulled out, I don't think Kingpin-Fury is supposed to take its place.

Any other information would be helpful.

I expect "Safetypin" to stop Fury... if he doesn't he will never get the verdict.

JOHNSON: one of the most under acheiving heavyweight contenders out there right now. Only 13 KO's in 31 pro fights - in fact he's never stopped a top 50 HW. For a guy who went pro in 2003, this will be only his 32nd fight. He's skilled, but just doesn't throw enough punches.

FURY: since the Chisora win last year, he seems to have stalled out a bit. Johnson is probably the 2nd best opponent of his young career. Like I said before, his development has stalled out - but he did go pro just 4 years ago in 2008. So he gets a pass.

PREDICTION: Fury throws more punches, is more heavy handed, and is the "A side" of the promotion. Johnson can slip a shot, and would rather survive all 12 rounds then risk getting caught. So you gotta bet the bank on Fury by decision in this one.

Lepai was a top 50 HW. But I agree with your prediction of Tyson on pts.

This fight will be similar to Bowe-Tubbs.

Fury will be made to look bad but will win rounds on workrate, Johnson wont get tagged much or mount much of an offensive effort.

, although you're seriously flattering both of them with that analogy.
