Demarco cant be counted out but Broner despite coming up in weight still has an advantage looking like a natural welterweight in my eyes

This fight will prove if Broner has any actual skill or whether its just all about a size advantage

Hopefully he makes the weight and just tone down the bullshit asshole act.

He does that, I'm a fan.

I'm still picking DeMarco, but I won't be surprised if Broner takes it.

Voted by Ringtv to be the most anticipated fight of the month, by a pretty wide margin over all the many matches this month.

Too bad they have to put it on in a location that was devastated by the storm.

I don't like Broner on a personal level but I admit, I always look forward to watching him fight. I like his style in the ring and I want to see where his ceiling is after a little pro seasoning.

I wasn't aware that people weren't looking forward to it.I think it's a great fight, and it'll give me a good gauge of what chance Ricky Burns would have against either.

Was tempted to leave it at that so I could see how many people would come up with the ever-so-predictable "None" or "No chance" so I'll just spoil that one myself.

Think some people are writing off DeMarco far too easily but I do have a feeling that Broner will take it.

Brilliant fight, if every fighter moving up weight decided to fight someone from the top four of the next weight division boxing would have alot more exciting bouts.

Hate Broner or love him, Demarco is one of the best choices he could've selected as an opponent and glad he did. Fights like this and of more importance not happening is what's killing the business as its not a sport anymore. I'll watch Demarco-Broner and we're in store for a very good fight.

I look forward to Broner vs. any live body in the hopes that he'll get exposed in brutal fashion.

However, I don't see Tony being the guy to do it. He's just too basic, and doesn't have the quickness or timing to offset Broner's off-the-charts athleticism.

I had Tony losing the first eight rounds handily against Linares (who's fairly solidified as a B+ talent now, and not the blue chip he was projected to be when on the rise and undefeated), getting his ears absolutely boxed off until the Golden Boy ran out of ideas and/or energy and came apart at the seams.

Not long at all before graduating to world level opposition, Tony barely scraped by middling veteran Jose Reyes. Had he not scored a knockdown on a lucky opportunity when Reyes missed a ridiculous haymaker and left himself wide open to a counter he didn't see coming, the bout would have been a draw on the official cards. (96-94, 95-95, 93-97)

He should have been on his way to a loss against Anges Adjaho (ignore the one card that had DeMarco up; he truly wasn't by the reckoning of any observers among fans and media) before the now-infamous acting job that saw the Beninese contender flop his way out of a title shot by overselling a "rabbit punch" in one of the strangest so-called knockout rulings you'll ever see.

He was schooled and made to quit by Edwin Valero, who honestly never was half of what some people claimed and whose major selling point of crushing power had been at its most optimal down at super featherweight. Valero looked kingly that night only because of how ill-equipped DeMarco was based on styles and the huge disparity in speed. Valero was not built for greatness at lightweight, IMO.

Alfaro and Attah are fringe operators; stopping them isn't especially special.

Kid Diamond was on the downslide of his career, and in one of his worst showings ever still gave DeMarco a boxing lesson until the cut from a headbutt began to affect him around the halfway mark and ultimately forced him to acquiesce.

Micky Roman was never a world-beater and had been through countless wars by the time DeMarco got a hold of him. His ring age is about double his chronological age.

John Molina is just garbage.

...and, that's all of TDM's notable opposition.

Look, I like the guy, how he comports himself, and he's got plenty of great qualities: he's tough as nails, always dangerous, and has that fan-friendly never-say-die attitude that sometimes pays off.

He falls short of world-class, however - title or no. He's as ham-and-eggs as it gets.

I'm rooting hard for DeMarco, don't get me wrong - but looking at this objectively, with my head instead of my heart, I see Broner putting on a clinic of hit-and-don't-get-hit, possibly busting Tony up for a doctor stoppage in the final two thirds. As much as I dislike Broner, styles and intangibles lend this one the makings of a performance of which you just have to sit in respectful awe.

DeMarco will flatter the shit out of Broner, especially in the view of anyone who doesn't realize how little world championship mettle the former really possesses - or how little moving up a class is going to hinder the young Problem as he comes fully into his man strength. In fact, I'd go as far as to say he'll only look better fleshing out given his prior troubles making weight.
