Now we all know that Purdy has pulled out of the fight this saturday with Carson Jones, a big problem is that Carson has already landed in England so Eddie should definitely keep him on the bill.
Who could realistically replace Purdy and take on Jones with only 5 days notice? there are Matthew Hatton Colin Lynes Junior Witter Denton Vassell Selcuk Aydin Frankie Gavin |

At a weeks notice? when he has an ibo shot lined up? Hatton will go nowhere near it. Neither will alot of fighters cos jones is dangerous and will want longer than a week.

As said, very short notice, but though it wont happen, out your list Id like it to be Gavin.A step up for him but one that would be good to take him to a higher level.Dont think hes got stacks of time on his side so this would be good,I think.Vassell also.Looked really good last time and IMO a great fight, one hed at least have a chance with.If he won,the skys the limit.

Vassell only did six(?) with heffron and has probs tapered down to the point where he'll still be in peak shape. Was sayin he had two days off in a yr so itll be realistic for sure. Like i said before, big decisions that cld shape a career. You know if he gets offered and rejects, he'll fight in six months at a leisure center against lomax or nigel wright ( no disrespect, just what happens these days)
