Default Mikey Garcia is a torture to fight

The guy really as poised and as patient as they come.

He'll spend the entire duration of the fight on his desired range, which is quite hard to reach as he's tall and rangy.

Then for all his explosive power, he doesn't just rush in and fire away and take you out. He just waits at the right time to pour it on.

That guy is quite scary. I know Salido is a bad-ass and won't be intimidated, and would probably be in Garcia's face all night long and take that patience out, but he'll have his hands full when they fight.

But MG seems to have a solid chin as well. I think it would really be an awesome clash if they do.

Barrios was giving garcia a tough fight before he quit. Salido is as tough as they come and he doesnt stop coming forward. I wonder how garcia will handle that.

He's a huge featherweight.

I can see the guy at 135 in 6 years.

Mikey is seriously a boxing genius.

When it comes to boxing IQ, at the moment he ranks only behind Floyd, Hopkins, and Ward.

Great talent, great poise, excellent fundamentals, backed up with every talent a fighter could want: speed, power, chin, and he has two amazing trainers in Robert and Big G and it seems like the three have a great sympatico together.

I think the younger Garcia might go farther than the old bro.

Robert is a great fighter, but it seems like the Corrales loss ruined him.

Mikey has some good skills but he was a pain to watch the other night! LOL He needs to mix it up more... I think Salido would bring the best out of him...

He has to work on his defense IMAO. Haven't seen his last fight but I've seen him get hit and swell already against so so opposition. Salido is going to be a great test. That said I think Mikey was lucky that Salido got injured. Salido will come from quite a long way-off and will be diminished by the ring rust

Just like Nonito when he FEELS he needs to respect his opponent like the Nisho fight. Same coach too. How about that. Ya think Garcia will turn Pavlik into that kinda fighter for the Ward fight if comes off?

i like mikey garcia, explodes in certain moments but is constant with the jab and is also real patient. He got tagged quite a few times in his last fight though, like a lot of guys who need time to think they have a harder time against guys who put combinations together.
