Is this fight happening? Heard it's cancelled. It's on "The Scene" and Henry posted on his FB that he is having surgery.

Yeah, Omar Henry supposedly came down with gall stones.

This development came to light after my thread was created, illustrating his would-be opponent's pedigree.

Steve Farhood says ShoBox is still going on. Santana vs. Garcia has been promoted to main event; no word yet on a possible late sub for Cabrera.

No replacement opponent for Cabrera.

The co-feature will be Joey "Twinkle Fingers" Hernandez vs. James "Shotgun" Winchester, 10 rounds @ light middleweight.

Winchester is giving up six years and some height to the Floridian southpaw and has the uglier record, but has mixed with a much higher class. (having been shut out but never stopped by the likes of Michael Medina, Glen Tapia and Matvey Korobov - who are all head and shoulders above Hernandez's best opponents to date: Ed Paredes, with whom he drew once and by whom he got knocked out in the rematch - and elderly tomato can Baby Duran, against whom he bagged the same result as any other halfway decent prospect...)

Henry is such a disappointment. I used to think he could dominate 154.

Lots of people thought so, based on supposedly having given Pacquiao a few hard spars. (and later Mayweather)

It's the same kind of bullshit that gave Spadafora his shine, having accomplished nothing on paper outside a bloody life and death draw with Leo Dorin.

Angelo Santana don't look good to me. Left is rather wild and loses his balance after throwing it. Overall just seems slow all around.

Vaguely remember the Garcia/Ugas tilt and do recall Ugas getting robbed.

Despite what appears to be a lackluster matchup by strict ability should at least turn into a fan friendly main event.
