Don't worry dude, the slower JMM gets the more dominant he becomes to Pacman.

JMM's gonna be accustomed more and more with having Pac's face on his right glove

Pac will always deliver, I promise you that

Marquez is almost 40, ofcourse he is slowing down.

But speed isnt everything. Great timing is much better than great speed.

Marquez KO of Pac was a thing of beauty. He is a superb counter puncher

That's the risk he took when he decided to go on the weight training route and fight flat-footed, generating maximum power. Pacman was somewhat flat-footed in the finishing moment as well and muscle-tight, so unlike many bombs he took on the bounce and a loosened body helped absorbing the energy of the shot, his head and neck took the finishing blow entirely and it landed right on the button. That is a career-changing shot, but maybe getting caught that clean was a sign of an aging fighter. Punishment in boxing is brutal either way.

At the end of the day, timing beats speed, and you can put helluva more power behind a well-timed bodily powered shot over a fast arm punch on the bounce. JMM trained for the specific situation, took some hellacious shots in the process, but never took his eye off the target, and when opportunity presented itself, he went for it with maximum leverage. A true sign of a boxing legend, no one deserved more to knock Pacquiao out.

Dont mean to nit pick, but this is utterly false. Ive watched that KO 50 times, and Manny was loose as hell, semi jumping into it

He moved into the punch as he was looking to follow up his left with a right, properly set up by his feet, which made things much worse. The best shots JMM caught Pac with previously were Pacquiao on the bounce. But not here, cold caught as Jim said - punches you don't see hurt the most because you don't have the time to relax the muscles, and a tight body can't absorb the energy as well.

Hurt the most? I'm pretty sure Pacquiao didn't feel a thing. =D
