Default Who was the better trainer

Eddie fudje or mick Dundee ?

Ali held a 2-1 advantage but Dundee surely had the better fighter, plus fudje beat ali with different fighters
What's your thoughts ?

Futch every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Dundee was a great corner man, and motivator, but Futch could really make a difference outside the ring.

such a tough question as we only ever see the very tip of the iceberg.
We don't see the planning, the gym work, the strategic planning, the flashes of insight and brilliance, we don't hear the whispers in the ear.
Dundee had a relaxed rapport with his fighters, his comments in the corner often don't sound very technical, maybe, 'give me smooth' but his fighters seem to know exactly what he means and he gets the desired results. He has a knack of saying a lot with a little.
Futch has a real deep respect among trainers in boxing and rightly so. Its difficult to hear futch in the corner as he speaks close and low, but his results speak for themselves. Heard a great story of an 80 year old futch kayoing a would be mugger in a car park.

Each had his strengths:

Dundee was the master at the big picture, taking what a fighter had (physically and mentally) and picking opponents to develop him and toughen him and prepare him for those moments when his best would be required.

And he was, as noted, as good in the corner as there has ever been in finding which buttons to push at what times and how to get his fighter to perform -- having worked a few corners myself, I can tell you there's more to it than just giving the right advice, they aren't puppets in there who you just say "do this" and they do it.

Futch was the best I've ever seen at taking whatever Fighter A had and developing a game plan to give him the best chance against Fighter B. Great ****ytical mind -- forget the big names, he took Montel Griffin and scripted a plan that put him in position to beat Roy Jones Jr. That's almost unthinkable.

Any fighter would be better for having either man on his side.

Futch was the better trainer. Dundee was the better cornerman on fight night.

Futch imho, was the greatest trainer of all time. Nobody even comes close. Gotta go with Eddie.

I was.

(joke)

But seriously though, I agree with Saintpat re:Eddie's honing of his fighter(s)' existing skills (I have a soft spot for Cus as well) plus IMHO, I get the sense that Eddie cared about his fighters well-being more.
