I think Frank knocks him out. Tyson, Smith, Witherspoon and lewis were able to beat Bruno because they had the whiskers needed to survive his power as well as in some cases the size as well.. Johanson couldn't take his power and might even have been outclassed from a skills perspective as well.

I think it would be competetive, but eventually Frank gets caught by Ingo’s bingo, and gets put on queer street and battered to a TkO loss by Johansson

I think Johansson is underrated.
Both guys could hit, but at the same time both guys didnt have the best of chins. I loved the fireworks while it last, but sooner one or the other is going to be put to sleep. |

The grossly overrated Bruno was nothing special..the Ingo of the 1st Patterson bout and the '58 Machen wipeout would catch Frank with the "Bingo" and knock his brains out.

A tough fight to call. Assuming they can both KO each other, we have to go to other attributes than chin and power to work out who would probably win.
Jab- Bruno. Ingo's jab was a flick, Bruno's was very, VERY good- a heavy, accurate and repeated technically sound jab. Footwork- Ingo. A good mover for a European boxer of his generation. Strength- Bruno. A much bigger and much stronger man. Speed- Ingo. Stamina- Not much between them. Bruno famously gassed terribly against Terrible Tim and Ingo was saved by the bell against the fearsome Brian London. Punch variety- Bruno. He had power in either hand and a good left hook. Size- Bruno. On balance, therefore, I give Bruno the edge. |

Johansson would not be able to get to Bruno's psyche. Thus I think Bruno dominates with his jab, and wins easily even if the fight goes the distance. As I think Bruno's stamina issues were mental rather than physical. Johansson would be too small to worry Bruno.

I cant see someone like Ingo who has better credentials than Bruno's(beating a prime Floyd Patterson is bigger than any fight Bruno won),losing this fight.Unless he gets outclassed badly in the physical department which i dont think would happen because Ingo was almost the same weight as Bruno, despite having less muscle and more body fat.
