Default Anyone else genuinly scared for Hatton?

I loved Ricky back in the day, he did wonders for boxing over here.

But the man has got no punch resistance whatsoever, I mean his chin is Roy Jones levels of bad.

His body looks tired and weak, his skin looks old and saggy.

Senchenko is no great shakes, but he is a big guy, he's in shape and knows his way around the ring.

It won't take long for Ricky to tire, and at that point he could be seriously injured by senchenko

I don't think this is a good idea, Ricky will never be what he was

I genuinely think this is going to be a horror show. You don't come back from a savage second round KO 3 years down the line having abused your body in that period and look any better and he looked dreadful against Pacman.

His face is gaunt his left eye looks a bit strange and twitchy and he really doesn't look in any condition to be fighting at all let alone at world class level. I really liked Hatton in his day despite all the annoying casual football followers and I don't want to see him get hurt. Losing to Pac and Mayweather is no disgrace and he has an excellent resume other than that and plenty of money. His time has passed and he should leave it alone.

I noticed that with his eye. He looks like he may have suffered a stroke

I think this is going to be a terrible night. I hope they have trained medical personell ready

he just looks like hes aged, but thats because he has aged. no big deal.

id be more concerned about the fact that hes never looked good at WW & is also small at the weight too.

I wouldnt go as far as to say he looked like he had a stroke, but he does look and sound rough. I'd like him to win a close fight and retire, bt Ill admit I bet against him.

I agree with Primadonna, not sure what to expect.

But he's got a lot riding on this comeback so I just wouldn't bet against him.....

This one should be his last, or maybe he should fight at a lower level. He has a good legacy, should call it a day after fighting a few D level fighters.

Honestly though think about how bad he struggled with Luis collazo, he was similar size to senchenko, a little better granted but that was in Ricky's prime

He's going to be in big trouble here

And the thing is after fighting guys like kostya tzsyu, manny Pacquiao, Floyd mayweather, Ricky had a great career, but if he get sparked by senchenko he'll never live it down, and if he couldn't stay away after losing to the very best, how's he going to do it if he loses to an average fighter

I do worry as he jacked in his last comeback because sparring partners were getting to him just like De La Hoya. He hasn't lived the life at all since then and is fighting at a weight where his strengths are minimised.

On the flipside Senchenko is no great shakes by any means and Ricky was an extremely good fighter.

A close decision for Hatton with scares along the way is what I expect.

I think Ricky Hatton has a lots of fans that will be nervous on the night. Naturally after so long out the ring and the way he lost his last fight people will be like that.

Personally, its obvious Ricky has an itch he needs to scratch and I think its always better knowing than not knowing.

I think he is going to struggle, look poor but win this fight...

Then, unfortunately, dismiss the fact that he looked poor as ring-rust and carry on before eventually getting stopped badly in either his next fight or the one after that.
