only negative thing i'll say is that broner is a bit flat footed. he doesn't have the ability to dance around the ring like his idol did in his prime.

The night was worth it just to see Broner progress as a fighter. I like his combination punching reminds of me a younger Floyd except he has way more power.
For folks doubting Broner, thenk about it this way, Valero was banging the head and body of DeMarco savagely with nothing in return and Valero never touches the ground. He simply was cut up and then corner threw the towel in between rounds. Broner did the same with less landed punches and in less rounds. |

Great performance by Broner. Liked the way he didn't box and move. He stood in. He gets hit a little, but he doesn't have a problem taking it when something does get through.
Would like to see him take a couple more fights at 135 before moving up. I think he would beat the shit out of Rios right now. I don't think he would be ready for Matthysse though. He would have major issues standing and letting Matthysse bang on his back like that. |
