The only way Fury loses is by KO, and it's all up to whether he fights a fight that allows Johnson to land a few big counters to set up a stoppage. Let's be honest, Johson is not going to press the action in this one, so the ball is in Fury's court. If Johnson doesn't land that counter, then he loses by scrappy, dull, unanimous decision...much like the Vitali fight (even though Fury is not on that level). |

Were Johnson to pull the upset, I hope to see you sticking up for Fury the way you're now (admirably) sticking up for Mitchell. |

Mowing down guys who past champions fought 10 years ago doesn't mean much, no. Especially when your most recent fight was against an obese former SMW who has only fought bums and only had 4 fights in more than 10 years. What sort of competition is that for an Olympic medallist in his 25th pro bout?

So its gone from Seth Mitchell being the next American heavy weight champion to Deontay Wilder. That guys no better, as soon as he comes up against anyone decent who can stick it to him and defends themselves well he will lose.

I don't know, after this I think Deontay's management is going to be even more careful than they've been until now. He's going to be fighting cans for a while.

Wilder had less than 30 amateur fights. He's learning on the job, and they are refusing to rush him up...and their decision is justified when seeing what just happened to Mitchell.

But come on, that last Wilder opponent was a JOKE. DW s/be fighting mid to at least bottom tier top 50 HWs at this stage. Not being rushed does not explain his recent level of competition. |
