Default Broner fights in spots and pulls straight back...

what should have been a loss to De Leon was not a fluke, De Leon was fairly aggressive and put his punches toghether and used angles well. Broner is always going to have problems with that kind of fighter, because he pulls back too far and is availible to be hit if you commit to throwing 4,5,6 punch combinations. De Marco didnt do that, hes not that kind of fighter. Broner is good and will ALWAYS do well against guys who dont make a sustained attack behind the jab. I understand the Mayweather comparisons, but Mayweather is hardly ever out of position. Broner is out of psition a lot.

Broner doesn't have the unusually long Mayweather Reach, he has to put himself in harms way to land his shots, and he doesn't bang like a smaller Mayweather despite the hype, he gets hit too often and will be exposed soon as he face one of the elites at 140, he needs to saty at 135 for a year or 2 and let those fighters beat on themselves and get old.

He needs to learn how to transition from offense to defense fluidly it's either one or the other for him, a educated counter puncher who can figure these things out is his worst nightmare

He takes the few flaws of an older Mayweather and makes them more apparent since he's facing lighter, swifter guys and would be expected to be more dynamic on his feet as well. It's what irks me about his imitation. Take what works great, but add and modify it to what suits you. So far it's working for him, but if he doesn't diversify, it will cost him.

People keep talking about the Leon fight, for **** sake get over it, broner got the decision in a close fight when he was still learning.

Do we talk about barrera losing to junior jones or pac losing to Medgoen Singsurat all the time. Fighters move on with their careers just like broner has. For people to keep on bringing up the Leon fight is re****ed. Broner has clearly improved.

Agree with both posts. It just seems to me that he is good, but his flaws are obvious imo. He will have sucess at lightweight, but if he moves up to 140 hes gonna have problems with a lot of these guys. Marquez, Matthysse, Kahn, Petersen, Judah, Rios, I dont know if I would favor Broner over any of those guys as of now. He should stay at lightweight and polish off there.

Broner is the real deal. He has a chin, power, speed, and excellent defense.

I agree that he doesn't use his feet enough, but his defense and counterpunching is so good, that he can afford to stand right in front of you.

He's improved but there's nothing wrong with recognizing stylistic weaknesses that showed up a year and a half ago.
