we talked about seths power but lack of experience, technique and balance... we talked that JB could counter him and hurt him.

It was a great display of skills and smarts over brawn and naked aggression.

It was an upset because of how hyped Mitchell was when you think about it anyone who isn't really a big fan of the sport probably thought Mitchell would steam through Banks.

I'm just sad that I gave up gambling 3 weeks ago and the odds for Banks by KO almost pulled me back in.

Wow, sounds like everything went according to script. I only really started watching Mitchell with his first HBO fight, against Ibragimov. It seemed apparent to me at that time that Mitchell was a sucker for the right hand, particularly a counter right hand. This was further displayed against Chazz.

I also would think that anyone would have issues taking a good shot when they sort of hang there chin out in front the way Mitchell seems to. David Haye tends to do that as well, but with his speed and footwork he rarely gets hit clean like that.

Does this mean that Mitchell is really done as a serious prospect or is this simply a great learning experience ala Wlad Sanders? Hmm

What next for Banks? Do we take him seriously as a great American contender? Or was he just a perfect opponent to display Mitchell's weakness' in this one particular match-up? The guy is 9-0 at heavyweight now...
