Deontay Wilder and Bryant Jennings are the real thing. Malik Scott is most likely to be the Black Ty Fields. That might be a little harsh on Scott, but I don't see him breaking in to the top 10. I think the jurry is still out on Joe Hanks and Amir Mansour.

HW boxing is back in the USA!
Hmm. Dont know how long Chris Arreola will go. He needs to step up. He need to fight Fury or something like that.
Dont think neither Banks or Mitchell will win anything. Banks havent beat anybody and Mitchell have a weak chin.

Malik Scott though,I have high hopes for him too

True and false. Heavyweights in America needs to get TV time. HBO have two fights coming up. Arreola vs. Stiverne and Mitchell vs. Banks II.

NBC Sports got Scott vs. Glazkov. So there is still hope.

Dont think that Scott is like Fields. Fields had a weak chin. Scott doesnt.
Scott has been boxing all his life. He started at a young age. Fields like Mitchell wasnt a boxer. He picked up boxing very late.

I agree that Hanks and Mansour is hard to get clever on.

horrible, horrible analogy.

Malik Scott is a pure boxer who was on the US Olympic team and has rarely lost a round in his career against admittedly so-so competition. He has very good skills with limited power.

Tye Fields is an uncoordinated freak show who hammered down a few physically overmatched opponents. He has power but no skill whatsoever.

Agreed. It is in fact Wilder who will be the black Tye Fields.

Well that's odd. Boxrec had him listed as 34, and a 79" reach. (seriously.)

Now they have him as 23, and a 74" reach.

74" ? That's an even bigger disadvantage. Tyson's reach was even shorter, but Ruiz is no Tyson. Well, at least now he has time.

You don't consider Arreola top 5? He has to be better than Mansour at least

You can already see Wilder, Jennings and maybe Scott will all compete at high level in the future, comparing to who was getting hyped up a few years back (Grano, Kauffmann)

I'm honestly not that familiar with 3-5. Pretty much the top 2 than everybody else. And Wilder is hype, but the bottom line is that he won an Olympic medal and has stopped every opponent to date in his pro career. And his resume is no weaker than everybody not named Jennings with this qualification.

1. Jennings
2. Wilder
3. Mansour
4. Scott
5. Hanks

I would say that Malik Scott is the most skillfull and technical boxer of them all.

He is a boxer andhave been doing it all his life. Dont think many can outbox or outjab him.

Mike Hunter has just come on the scene as a pro I think. He may be pressing for a top 5 US position with a couple of years?

I think so too. But I think it will take 3-4 years before that happens.
