Default Your thoughts on Danny Green as the #1 Cruiserweight

What are your thoughts on Danny Green as the IBO champion?

And is it fair to have his opponents come down in weight to Dannyweight to fight for his Cruiserweight title? And if so, why?

Doesn't the IBO have computerized rankings? It's hard to see Danny as champion of anything, at this point, even a computer program. The guy is shot-to-shit and was knocked out cold by the worst champ at CW, currently. And drugs or not, Tarver laced him up.

However, he'll probably hang out in AUS for the rest of his career and defend his worthless hardware. Oh well.

When is the fight? He will get knocked out when he meets Chambers or Lebedev.

Tony Conquest even at this early stage of his career would put Green away.

Quite a few people in the Aussie forum would beg to differ, some still see him as a hero for what he's done for boxing there. His next fight against usual HW Shane Cameron, Danny has got the limit at 195 pounds for this one, Cameron weighed in at 214 in his last fight, some beg to differ that his opponents were forced to go that weight, but in the fine print, if you come in even at the CW limit of 200, you'll get only 10% off your agreed payment.

Wednesday night, I'll be watching it as it is available where I'm at but I'd still like to know if IB and the rest are planning to do a RBR thread.

shouldnt aussie fans be backing the likes of darchiniyan and katsidis instead of mundine and green?
maybe they have a bigger profile over there - i dont know - but a big part of the 'misinformation' of boxing has to do with hometown fans not being educated on the legitimacy (or lack of it in this case) of their fighters

i can understand how they can raise the profile over there, like ottke in germany and brian nielsen in denmark

but unless i'm wrong, mundine and green have something like 6 'title belts' between them...?

so its a 'toxic promotion' of boxing in my view
