I think he fits into both categories according to whether he has an agenda.

When he's agenda free, which isn't that often, he's reasonable copy.

When he's opinionated and pumping someone, or bagging them, he's brutal.

However, show me a fair, balanced journalist that actually has a job in sport. Oh wait....

Most top level sport journalism is biased in some form or another.

Its what sells at certain times.

Dan does know a lot though, I'm willing to overlook flaws for his knowledge.

The last sentence is the issue. Sports media is in the opinion game, not the analysis game any more. Athletes want positive coverage and will only give access if they get it now.

Stuart Broad has been mouthing off at Ian Botham because he said that he wouldn't pick him for the next Test match.

Surely if Broad isn't happy about what Botham said, given Botham's standing in the game he could give him a call and ask for a chat, perhaps some advice, an exchange of views etc?

That applies to all sportsmen - if someone criticises you, give them a call, take on board what they say.

And in fairness, plenty of "fans" seem to think journalists, etc should be having a go and "telling it like it is". Easy said when telling it like it is stops you from earning a living and gets you sued.

He did the same to me, only I didn't call him an insufferable cunt, I questioned his constant ribbing of Haye and questioned why he wont speak to Haye and he blocked me.

that is just ridiculous, hilarious, but ridiculous. adam booth blocked me because he tweeted something along the lines of "watch the fight and you'll see Bradley beats pacquaio, he lands punches" and i said something like "what about the punchstats? there quite heavy in pacquaios favour and i thought he dominated' = blocked

I genuinely think he doesn't want Haye to fight Vitali because he could knock him out, and Dan hates Haye and loves the Klitschko brothers, so he couldn't bare to see that happen.
