Gerry has the balls, the big, big power, and in his best form, the chin and the doggedness to force the worst in Golota out.
Golota would press and be better early, but unlike Larry Holmes, would not hang around to finish the job. Gerry starts throwing those crazy left uppercuts low? Golota would have a meltdown. |

Im inclined to agree, i think gerry gets underrated sometimes, & on the other end Golota will always be the king of ridiculous fucking fouls when he was actually doing quite well

Cooney is too big and powerful. Gerry was what 6 foot 6? With a formidable
jab and an atomic bomb for a left hook. Tommy Morrison s hook didnt move Foreman. Cooneys moved and possibly hurt Foreman. Action packed fight, Golota cant avoid the lleft hook, eventually gets tagged. Cooney TKO 5. |

Golota was more physically durable of the 2 but mentally Gerry has the edge although also plagued with confidence problems stemming from his abusive father. Cooney boxed well early and threw a crazy double hook to the body and head, this may be enough to give Andrew permanent doubts but other than mental Andrew was more of a complete fighter when he could maintain his balance. I am leaning towards Gerry keeping the distance early on and hurting Andrew early enough for a quick exit on his part.
