2-3 fights would be cool for 2013.
I heard they are close to a March fight against Boytsov. Then some months later against Povetkin. I don't think promoters are letting Povetkin and also Pulev get beaten by Wlad in the same year. Chef, 2013 is a very important year for Wlad...If he keeps on winning during all the year, he will have the 2nd longest heavyweight reign after Joe Louis. |

none of us were excited about Thompson... but we had no choice in that fight...fight Thompson or get stripped..... Mormack wasnt the first choice... but when guy after guy says 'No".... you take what you can get

I'm salivating at Wlad vs Pulev, that fight could be great, finally something that's not a mismatch.
After Pulev, there is Povetkin, Fury, Helenius and Boytsov as acceptable opponents. If a fight is make within this list I'll be happy. |

If Wlad fights Boystov it's cause Boystov and his handlers want a pay-day, not because he's earned the title shot. Anything less than Povetkin or Pulev (or maybe Adamek or Helenius) will be a let-down. Let Boystov fight Fury or Banks or some other contender/pretender.

I bet he's fighting some old cruiserweight or a 40 year old heavyweight with no power like usual. Or maybe he will be fighting some over matched young guy with 9 fights who has never beaten anyone good.

We understand that many of the top contenders said no, and that must be even more frustrating for Wlad than it is for us. - But I want to say, in all honesty: If Wlad has to fight the likes of Wach, he should at least "moida' the bum." I tire a little of his "do just enough to win" attitude in the ring. Granted, Wlad's a great boxer, and only a foolish fighter would just swing away, but how about a few more combinations? Maybe a few body shots? Maybe after landing with the 1-2, throw another 1-2 right away, and KO the bum? Instead, we either see Wlad immediately back off (to admire his work?) or clinch. Well, not a big deal, I just thought I'd get it off my chest. Last edited by Cableaddict; 11-21-2012 at 12:08 AM. |

I mean, seriously, with THIS training crew, Wlad still couldn't put Wach away?
