This is the video which explains it down and after using this video i find my punches have more flow and there much more snappier and faster and powerful and the way it works is you twist your foot and knee then your hips then you throw the punch i know he is over doing it in the video but what to you think of it Thank you |

That is about the best explanation of how to throw a hook that I have seen on-line. However, it is far from a new concept, as it has been taught that way for over a century. Edwin L Haislet taught it that way in his book written in 1940. It works the same way for the right hand, uppercuts, etc...First the feet, then the hips, then the shoulder, then the fist.

Haislet's book is called either "Boxing" or "On Boxing." I've read that it is available on-line to download, free, but I have no idea where.
