Yeah, Armstrong carrying Ross is utter crap from what I saw too. If anything Hank was gunning for the Ko in the late rounds.

..of ones i've seen live, marciano-walcott II....marciano was the favorite but it still was a big fight.

of the ones i've seen on film, louis-conn II was a hugely hyped fight, and one of the biggest and most anticipated, but it was totally one-sided.

again, on film...dempsey-willard.

lots of others if i gave them some thought, but these are the first ones that come to mind, or that haven't already been mentioned.

Roy Jones vs James Toney springs to mind because both were considered great p4p pound fighters with all around ability in their prime and were even great fighters long after this fight but Jones beat up Toney like he was Richard Hall or something it was insane. Jones baited Toney into showboating and made him pay for it by dropping him then hurting him badly in one of the later rounds,he didnt jab much but still put on a nice display of boxing by moving in circles landing good combos on Toney when he saw a opening head or body and in my honest opinion won 11 rounds. Easy win for Jones very easy.

One that I saw on closed circuit in Houston's Sam Houston Coliseum:

Ruben Olivares vs Bobby Chacon 2.

Chacon shows up totally weight drained and a wind would have blown
him over, let alone left hooks from Rock-a-bye Ruben.

Foreman v Frazier: I believe Frazier was favored
Tyson v Spinks: Thought it would go at least 2 or 3 rounds

I agree with Bummy when he says longer fights can be considered more one-sided than quick blow-outs. At least that's what I think of when I think of the "most one-sided"

Calzaghe-Lacy is the most one-sided big fight fight I've seen.
And people forget that Lacy was favoured to win !

Yes, that was a real reputation killer that one, the Lacy hype was huge and i don't think he's fought a decent fight since has he?

Last time I saw him was on the Mayweather-Hatton undercard, I think he was going against that Peter "the contender" Manfredo guy, and Lacy looked AWFUL. Very sluggish.

I thought his corner should have pulled him out during the Calzaghe fight, as the fight went on. That's what I would have done, pulled him out after about 9 rounds, then tell him there was definitely something wrong with him, convince him he was poisoned or something - just to salvage his confidence a little bit. Psychologically that fight would ruin most good fighters, nevermind the potential for physical damage.

Yeah, it was suprising that it was such an easy win. I reckon that's the point when RJJ reached his absolute best- terrific fighter.
