The fight was scored a draw, so Eubank opted out. Benn was so impressed with the extra money then he signed on with King. In his autobiography he says it was the best thing he ever did. The problem was that Nunn would drop a debatable decision to Steve Littles.

Toney was not involved in any of the above, but around that time he had been openly calling for Nunn, Benn and Eubank

Not entirely sure what you mean there, i know there's a load of xenophobic shit on here but Loudon seems to know his stuff on a lot of boxing, just pops up in any thread involving a brit, especially SMW.

Nunn was outworking and sometimes outboxing Toney during the first half of the fight, but he was fighting a stupid fight. When he boxed and moved he showed that he was on a different level to Toney, the problem was he wanted to brawl with Toney to impress his home crowd. He was constantly getting tagged with counters and body punches, which really started to take there toll on him from around 6 onwards.

He really had no business losing to mw prospect, but he refused to learn his lesson and regularly ignored Dundee's advice during fights, which is why Dundee left him.

Toney was calling Benn out after he beat Barkley back in early 93. He got no response so he decided to try and shame him in public to accept the fight. That was what the Ross show was all about. His manager, Kallen wanted to get the talks started but she got no response from Benn or Eubank. This is why Toney decided to move up after fighting his no 1 mandatory Tim Littles back in 94. Jones was ignoring him and Benn and Eubank were not interested. Jones decided to move up so Toney decided to have take that fight before moving up to lhw.

McClellan could still make the mw limit, but he decided to move up because he was chasing after Jones who moved up to fight Toney late 94

Hopkins was a mw contender and did not get a mw belt until mid 95, so he had no reason to move up to smw at that point.

As a response for Eubank opting out both King and ****** decided to never to any business with Hearn again. This would blow up in Eubank's face after he lost to Collins who was a ****** fighter. In order to get a shot at Collins Eubank had to drop Hearns and sign on with ******. So King would get the last laugh in the end, because he was business partners with ******.

Hi mate, yes my mistake.

I thought from the Toney video, he was potentially in line to face the winner.

I don't hate Brit fighters, I'm from Sheffield.

I'm 32 and grew up watching Benn, Eubank, Collins, Naz, Rhodes, Calzaghe, Bruno etc.

I used to love Benn, but I hated Eubank when I was young, until I realised it was all an act, and then I started to really appreciate him. I even met him once in 1995 in Brighton.

I used to like Calzaghe too, until I realised he was an arrogant bullshitter, but even then, I still appreciated him, because he was a class act.

I've probably given you this impression by arguing with Bailey thousands of times about Joe chasing Roy etc.

It may seem like that, but basically I can't help responding to Bailey's nonsense. He loves British fighters, but doesn't like Toney, and he hates Roy. He also loves stats, but very rarely allows for circumstances.

So if I'm reading a thread, and I see one of his posts that I don't agree with, I'm on it.
