JOE CHOYNSKI - Where is he on your pound for pound list?

Where should he be ranked and what are your overall thoughts on his career? personally, i think he is very underrated. the only footage of him is sparring with jeffries here at the 2:20 mark.

yeah but what about on a lb for lb list? he was the smaller guy in a lot of fights.

You can make a good argument that he beats Hart.
As for H2H he was a tad chinny IMO but a L/H he deserves some serious consideration. He matched McCoy pretty well, troubled Fitz a bit and Maher too. Add in the Jeffries, Corbett and Johnson efforts and you have a serious debate.

Would you honestly want to bet your house, against him beating any sub 200lb champion with durability issues?

I am going to play devils advocate on this one, and suggest that Marvin Hart was in or close to his prime, when a past prime Joe Choynski held him to a draw.

I lean towards Choynski’s claim being true, but even so Walcott just demolished him. I would also note that Walcott offered him a rematch.

It terms of punching power he seriously might have claim to be number 1, similiar to Shavers, everyone named him the hardest puncher they had faced despite the fact he's basically a super middle.
