I went online to book the Hatton fight and Primetime also want a £2.50 'registration fee' for first time users!
Why on earth should I register to spend money with them?! Really pissed me off actually. ![]() I'm not tight, was willing to pay the £15 for the fight, but with this on top as well I'm starting to think is it really worth it?! I'm sure there will be those out there that scream "tight ****" but its not that at all, its principal really. When would it be too much? Is it really worth £17.50?!!!! It would be different if I was sharing the cost perhaps, but I'm paying for it myself because none of my mates are interested in watching it (not live anyway), tbh most of them don't even know its happening!!! .It really irritates me because you try and do the right thing and pay for the fight, you don't download illeagally like so many will , yet the channel doesn't exactly encourage you.I can get nearly two months on Boxnation for the price of the Hatton show, its nearly that for the same time on Sky Sports for Gods sake!. Bloody rip off when you consider that the main event is only a ten round non-title comeback for Gods sake!

Yeah it's nothing new, when I ordered Khan v McCloskey (stop laughing at the back!) I had to pay that. Should mean though that I don't have to pay it this time round!

Yes they do mate, but although that would still irritate me at least I'd know that I would get at least four weeks of boxing.Quote:
![]() ![]() Yes I think you are safe, its a 'one-off'. I just find it annoying on top, nearly twenty quid for a comeback!!!!!! |

It's out of order to charge for a registration fee for anything like this. I understand there has to be a cost associated with administrating these things, but in reality all they're doing is charging you money in order to do business with them.
It the same as charging you £2.50 the first time you walk into a supermarket. |

The reg fee is a one off payment when you first join, it's to cover costs associated with setting up your sky system so that in future you can order Primetime using the box office menu without phoning, that also allows you to record future events with sky+ as well
As mentioned we only charge the cost price for this on first registrations and not an inflated figure as charged by other independant channels on the sky platform |

I find it funny that when Froch was fighting on Primetime people within boxing were saying how he wasn't getting any exposure and how he was fighting on a little obscure PPV channel found on a random channel on sky etc. Since Froch has gone on to Sky and become better known to the general public Khan and now Hatton have fought on Primetime along with Mayweather, Marquez, Pacman and both Klitschko brothers. You would think that all fighters would rather be on Sky but obviously things have changed.
