Default If Foreman beat Briggs.

Let's say Foreman knocked Briggs out. Who would he fight next? Would this have set up a Lewis-Foreman showdown?

Foreman was robbed. No way on earth would he have fought Lewis. He'd have probably retire for another two years before fighting botha or oquendo or someone like that.

I watched this fight again just last night. George definitely should have gotten the decision, but he was also smart enough not to get it on with Lewis had he won.

But what a fighter George was...48 and beating up a young, strong fighter like Briggs. Amazing. The man had an incredible career.
I couldn't believe that he tried to plug his grill during the post-fight interview.

foreman made it clear a few times - he didn't want to get in the ring with lewis. i don't blame him either. he would of taken a real beating.

I can see lewis doing what he did to Ruddock and Galota to Foreman, no one else could but Lewis he could be mean.

I think Foreman would of called it a day post Briggs, unless Holmes was game. 'Black Cloud' aside, what was realistically left?

Foreman was lucky to get the nod vs Saverese. Had he beaten Briggs, he would have fought a made to order type of opponet for his next fight.

Although I havnt seen it in a while if memory serves me correctly the Stewart victory was another lucky nod but Foreman certainly won against Briggs.

If this fight was to take place, then so far as points in time go, wouldnt it have been the Foreman that Kod Moorer vs the Lewis that was KOd by McCall?

Imagine if Foreman had been the one to KO Lewis, it would certainly change some all time rankings, i would have thought.
