I think going into the fight Shavers would know that if he dropped one on Tommy s middleweight chin the fight would be over, with this knowledge I dont think stamina would be an issue, just go for the chin like he did vs Norton

The OP stated: "...shavers for his right looping overhand and right cross/ being the hardest puncher ever in general." The hardest puncher ever? Like to date/all time. Uh, NO. "Also was Tommy the hardest hitting (total power not p4p) white heavyweight ever?" Short answer, NO. He's up there, but not #1. Both were top punchers for their eras. One thing is almost for sure - the fight won't go the distance. Winner is first fighter to land a big shot as neither had a top chin. I'd give the edge to Morrison - something like wins 2 of 3. |

If Morrison fights a smart fight like he did against Foreman, I think he can knock Shavers out. If he gets careless like he did against Bentt, Shavers scores a knockout.

I personally don't believe finishing ability will enter into the equation. Either one could score emphatically on the other. When that happens, a conclusive sequence will follow swiftly enough afterwards.
Morrison is the faster and more technically correct puncher, but his left hook has to land or else he'd be open to an uppercut as he bores in. |
