Probably, although it shouldn't be

For me, a fighter giving their fans a proper farewell fight on terrestrial TV would be a very classy move and worthy of respect. It seems a guy like Hatton would find that too difficult to do. If you are winning, there'd always be one more fight

He gets in good 'shape' better than most boxers.

You've won a world title then congrats...

Pathetic post.....battering another man to within an inch of his life isn't actually the be all and end all. If you don't realise that then you have problems

He had some audacity to return against such a decent fulltime pro. Consider his lack of training and activity prior then his lifestyle.... it's not surprising the body resistance wasn't high enough yet. That'll be one of the last things you get back.

He shouldn't kick the bucket too soon, far more humiliating than losing a comeback fight. I also don't understand why ricky is so discontent with his career, most boxers dream of something like he's had. He just needs to stick with it, stay out of the lights for a while stay on the straight and narrow and work his way back the proper way.

To me he still has not really got over losing to Floyd and Manny, and here today he was fighting his own demons.

Hatton needs to let them defeats go and just enjoy what he got out of life, he is a rich man.

I wish Ricky Hatton the best, he is a good guy and was a great British boxer who mixed it with the best from his era and no one can ever take that away from him.

In all honesty, the failures Hatton has are his own fault

he never lived the life, did he?

He was never up at 5am going for a run, he was never in the gym 3 hours a day during the off season

He was never studying tape, looking for ways to improve his skills

he was in the pub having pie, chips and a pint

he believed his own hype, and didn't put in the work required.

He did it again here, belived the hype, thought he was good enough to come straight back in at contender level, and once again he paid for it.

frustrating

Are Richard Poxon's eye brows on PEDs?

Looks like they've done a 12 hour shift in a rave

I'm not sure prime Hatton would've beat this guy. Hatton struggled p[retty much anytime he didn't fight someone smaller or shot to bits. Hatton has got to be one of the thickest fighters i've ever watched, never seems able to work things out in the ring, it's just the same old lunging and grabbing with no defence.

Has he given Senckenko any credit at all for his performance/win, or it it just me me me as usual?

give it 12 months and he'll want more attention again, another comeback with soundbites like 'it's about making me kids pwoud'.

Another thing, to say he's already won as he got down from 15 stone....big deal. It ain't hard to shift the weight, with a bit of discipline.

and now Senckenko gets respect and is seen as the high class opponent he was always going to be.

a lot of posters here said he wasnt much good...."paulie stopped him..all you need to know that is" was typical of what was said about him.

Senckenko is a lot better than what he was given credit for before this fight.

I think it was you picking Senchenko from the off, and the reasons proved spot-on. Nice one.

Seems quite a few posters on here ended up winning cash on the fight.

Can't even have a mature discussion on Hatton's comeback fight without little dickheads ruining it.
