He doesn't move around the ring. He stands still and allows his opponent to push him back.
The way to beat a southpaw is to use a lot of lateral movement or if you're the bigger man, to walk them down, while keeping them at the end of your punches. |

No movement. Shit balance. Poor defense.
Basically all that needs to be said. I think everyone knew beforehand Guerrero was the far better technician, but those who picked Berto thought his power and size would be enough to blast out a former FW. At least that's what I thought. It also seems strange to me that so many people think this result is an upset. This fight was pretty much a coin toss for me, going into it: Guerrero on pts or Berto by early KO. |

Why don't you explain then? You don't know shit about boxing.
You know why, because you can't think. What does B HOP do? Or lets turn things around and look at from a southpaw's perspective. What does Pacquaio and Martinez do? These are all TOP PFP fighters and they use their legs to circle around the ring and walk the fighters into their lead hands. Yet, your stupid ass thinks differently. |

Floyd has proven that he can handle small southpaws and he's proven than he can sucker punch a big one who is now possibly banging his girl.
If you really want to see if Floyd is truly effective at fighting southpaws, he needs to fight Martinez and Pacquaio. Pacquaio is small, but he's explosive. Martinez is big and explosive. Theoretically he could walk down Pacquaio, but it would be more intelligent to keep him at the end of his punches and use consistant and constant lateral movement. The same gameplan should be utilized for Martinez. Try to make Martinez follow him and never stand still. |
