There's the "meat grinder" type offense. Usually these fighters would wear you down over the course of a fight. In close, hitting you wherever they can. Fighters like Frazier, Marciano, Chavez.
Long range artilery where full extension was needed to be at their most devestating. Hearns & Arguello were masters here. Terry Norris, Gerald McCllellan, Wladimir Klitschko. |

Well it's going to sound old and weathered, but i have to say Sugar Ray Robinson, he is very possibly the best offensive boxer of all time. Calculated attacks of the highest order, i find it hard to imagine a defensive minded boxer ever getting the better of him. You block the head, you catch ten to the body, you cover the body, eight to the chin. He was ridiculously good in this regard.

The "incredible hulk offense" that feeds off an oponents agression eg Louis Arguello. The "constant attrition offense" eg Bat Nelson, Marciano, Frazier (notice I say constant). Hybrids of course. |

The 'incredible hulk offense', which Janitor mentioned, is something based on putting to use a great skillset, accurate and/or technically very nice punches. I'd like to nominate Eder Jofre to be amongst such company.

Foster comes in to box and move. Watch Frazier pre-cut the ring, establish range with the jab and then close the distance with the hook. From the first one that's landed he takes Foster out of his gameplan. Around twenty seconds Joe lands the "long hook" and from that point on Foster is basically descending from a box mover to a runner in incriments. This is how you deploy a swarming, stifling style, this is how you do fast pressure. An attacking machine.
