117-111 was the right score.

Called this when the fight got announced. Trout put on a great performance.

Thought the 117-111 was pretty accurate. The 119-109 score was ridiculous.

Exactly. Im watchin the fight and the commentators were horrible along with the replays. They were ignoring all Trouts work just to show a bull**** Cotto punch that would barely land. They should be ashamed.

I think 117-111 and 116-112 would be accurate. 119-109 is just crazy but at least the right man won.

118 - 110 Trout

Scores were right in my view.

Had it 116-112 Trout. 119-109 is a little ridiculous.

before reading any responses, I gotta disagree re: too wide a margin...Cotto dialed up the pressure from ab R3-5, then appeared to take R6 off. I wasn't impressed with how Trout took advantage of it (or failed to), but still gave him the rd. From then on, however...Trout was increasingly effective and it seemed Cotto never caught a 2nd wind or w/e. Wasn't sure if it was due to the damage inflicted, or if he just didn't have it in him (anymore)...but Trout won the rest of the fight IMO.

In fact, the panelists scores-updates @ R9 and 10 had me thinking I was letting my pro-Trout bias affect my own scoring...but, other than a 10-10 1st round, I was dead on w/ the 2 judges @ 117-111 (had 117-112).

Trout's a beast! Cotto v. Canelo woulda been epic....pre-Margarito. I think AT will have a real shot @ a W. Depends on if Canelo is THAT good or not...will be a tougher test than VOrtiz, IMO. Will @ least make him earn it in 12!

(sigh....if only Chad Dawson had this kid's moxie. Not sure why he reminds me of him so, bc I like him better after this bout. He's only gonna improve....)

Last edited by BuckeyeKeel; 12-02-2012 at 01:09 AM. Reason: left out the pre-margacheato, as now Cotto would get slaughtered in a similar fashion
