Default bought a pair of these lonsdale gloves, but they're very hard. why is this?

is it just because they have not had time to wear in or what is the reason? they seem to be very hard material. there is hardly any cusion when you press them. i would not want to spar someone with them as they are way too hard to hit someone with.

these are the ones. has anyone used these?

Most gloves are hard until there used, but when gloves get used they may feel softer but then the gloves sometimes are losing there padding on your hands due to wear and tear and that can also damage others so i wouldn't worry.

Do a few rounds on bag and pads if your worried, but it's probably fact there new and firm until used.

Might be wrong as i don't use them type of gloves.

Edit: Reading the info on the gloves it looks like they are designed to protect hands so that's probably why.

Didnt Lonsdales production, get moved to China a few years ago, by the sports direct guy? Might be different ways they treat the leather there...might even be catskin!

All lonsdale velcro gloves are shit. The lace up ones are decent.

I have always used Everlast which suit me.

I've used that type of glove a few times to spar in and they seemed well padded, must just be an issue with wearing them in. I use my Grant's for bag/padwork though, best gloves I've had.

I bought Rivals and absolutely love them, but I still find my self having to use my Adidas 10 oz when I'm using a particularly heavy teardrop bag.
